Operation Backpack provides local hungry students with much needed food for the weekend. Last school year, more than 200 students were classified as homeless within BISD and many more were chronically hungry. TTLM works with individuals and organizations to gather donated food and supplies. Volunteers use these items to fill backpacks distributed to qualifying students at the end of each week. The backpacks protect the students’ confidentiality, and they are discretely returned on Mondays so the process can start over.

Most of Operation Backpack's efforts focus on needs within the 77541 zip code. We are also privileged to work with other local organizations to provide assistance in Angleton schools.

Pray for God to supply the resources for this great need. Pray for the students to experience God's love and to be encouraged by a community that loves them.

Give a monthly or one-time donation to help sustain the efforts of Operation Backpack. $65 will fill one student's backpack for a month. $650 will fill one student's backpack for a year. Each participating school has approximately 20 students registered for Operation Backpack. $1,300 will fill backpacks for one school's participants for a month.
