True To Life Ministries' Statement of Faith

1. We believe in God, creator and sustainer of the universe, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co- equal and are one God.

2. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

3. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who is fully God and came in the flesh as fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Hpirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross to make provision for the redemption of men from sin. He raised bodily after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into Heaven to the right hand of God where He makes intercession for His own. He will personally come again in power and glory to judge the world and complete His redemptive purpose.

4. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who exalts Christ, convicts of sin, and works in individuals to bring them to believe and obey Christ. He also lives in every believer. He provides the Christian power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily, and He bestows spiritual gifts on believers by which they serve Him.

5. We believe that God created humankind, male and female, in His own image. However, everyone has sinned and is guilty before God. As a result, all creation suffers the consequences of the fall and is under God’s judgment.

6. We believe that for salvation of the lost and sinful people that regeneration (the conviction of sin, repentance toward God, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ) by the Holy Spirit is essential. Salvation is by God’s grace, not the result of good works.

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of redeemed believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. All who repent and believe in Christ are born again to eternal life, delivered from condemnation, and as His Church are called to communicate the gospel, proclaim the Kingdom, make disciples of all nations, and seek to be instruments of His righteousness, justice, and healing, all for the glory of God.

8. We believe people were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

   Statement on Marriage

The Bible clearly teaches the enduring truth that marriage consists of one man and one woman, and that sexual relationships are explicitly designed for the context of marriage. From Genesis to Revelation, the authority of Scripture witnesses to the nature of biblical marriage as uniquely bound to the complementary nature of man and woman. This truth is not negotiable. The Lord Jesus himself said that marriage is from the beginning (Matthew 19:4-6), so no human institution has the authority to redefine marriage any more than a human institution has the authority to redefine the gospel (the Good News of Jesus Christ), which marriage mysteriously reflects (Ephesians 5:32).
